In my family, there is a special member. It’s a dog. We call it Lucky. We always leave it inside our house. One evening we wanted to go to the cinema, so we left Lucky in the house and locked the door. When the film was finished, we went home. We put the car away and went to the front door. But we found that part of the glass in the door was broken. The door was open. A thief! We went in and looked in all rooms to see if the thief had taken our things. But everything was in the right place and nothing was missing. Lucky was sleeping in the sitting room. My mother was angry with him. ‘Why didn’t you guard the house?’ mom said. Lucky was pleased to see us. It began to wag its tail and went to a corner of the room and picked up something in its mouth. It went to my mother and dropped the thing at he feet. When my mother went to pick it up, she was very surprised. Can you guess what the dog’s present was? It was a man’s finger! So we called the police and told them everything.
